Fashion-Enter Ltd Director, Caroline Ash, received visitors from America and Australia this week, commencing 17th March 2025, for two seminars and tours adapted to their core areas of interest.
Talking about the week Caroline said: “We kicked off the week by welcoming a group of business students from Fordham University in New York, who have made multiple visits to us in the past. Their enthusiasm for sustainability was evident as they posed numerous questions, leading to an engaging and interactive seminar. They also thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
“Then we had something a bit different, a visit from an Australian researcher, academic, and advocate for sustainable waste management and circular design in the clothing and textile industry. Her focus was in exploring successful international initiatives and best practices in circular economy and product stewardship within the textile supply chain.
“The object was to examine collaborative efforts among stakeholder networks, particularly from the European Union, aimed at addressing textile waste. She was particularly interested in innovations that can be adapted to Australia’s unique geographical and industrial context. This included implementing micro-factory models, hybrid supply chains that utilise local and regional resources, specialised processing, and effective end-of-life product stewardship.
“She joined us with a few of her former students for an engaging seminar that focused on her area of study. We discussed our sustainability initiatives, partnerships, and advancements along with other sustainability initiatives and legislation in the UK and Europe.”
