UAL Level 3 Creative Practice: Art, Design & Communication – Fashion and Business Students Complete 1st Year

On Friday May 16th, the 16+ students from the UAL Level 3 Creative Practice: Art, Design & Communication – Fashion and Business programme completed their first year at Fashion-Enter / Fashion Technology Academy. The intensive 34-week course focused on key areas across fashion and business; from brand concept and garment construction to finished product and marketing.

Conducted four days a week across two campuses, the course is delivered in close collaboration with Fashion-Enter Ltd and Capital City College. Expert tutors at Fashion-Enter Ltd lead essential practical and commercial components of the curriculum, including garment construction, pattern cutting, and the business dynamics of the fashion industry, providing students with industry-relevant skills and insights.
Each student has developed a self-directed theme through extensive research and a diverse range of design methods, encompassing 2D, 3D, and 4D techniques. Throughout the course, learners engaged in various processes, including drawing, fashion illustration, surface and constructed textiles, fabric manipulation, pattern experimentation, and mixed-media garment construction.
The progression rate is 100%, and the students will now advance to Year 2 at Capital City College from September.
