Celebrating International Women’s Day – 8th March

At the FCFTA Leicester the theme was very much “Joyful in Pink” this International Women’s Day. All of our courses are available to both men and women, however the attendees so far have mainly been female. We are incredibly proud of all our learners, along with our teams in Leicester, Haringey, Islington and Newtown.

FCFTA Leicester part of South Wigston College Careers Event

On Tuesday 7th March Deputy CEO Jackie attended the careers festival held at South Wigston Campus for North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire college. This was a great opportunity to speak to students about further education opportunities in fashion and textiles and the courses available at the Academy. Many students were keen to discuss apprenticeship routes as an alternative to going to university – the opportunity to earn whilst learning and gaining vital first hand work experience was of keen interest at the event.
