One of the reasons why Jenny Holloway, Caroline Ash, Lan Leeder and other staff have undertaken a training qualification is to ensure that standards of teaching are always at the very highest of standards, incorporating industrial best practices into an educational environment.
Each academic year the world of Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) and their innovative training program to promote stitching skills and industrial pattern making skills grows. In the new academic year, commencing September 2022, it was all hands to the deck to ensure that the learners had a strong induction program to ensure that the Information, Advice and Guidance provided was right for each and every learner.
Production Director Caroline Ash commented: “We all have a can-do attitude at FEL, and this is why Jenny can be seen in this photo supporting on enrolment and induction. Jenny is the only boss I have ever worked for that has a genuine open door policy and works as one with everyone. She will roll up her sleeves and leads by example. She wants every learner to have the best possible experience that will mean the course develops the learner’s character, resilience and independence and she’s retrained as our Mental First Aider alongside Lan in Patterns as well as undertaking a Counselling course so she knows how to speak to people correctly and in a supportive manner.”
FEL has continually developed beyond their academic, technical and vocational requirements of the curriculum. Learners come to the Fashion Technology Academy environment so they can grow as an individuals, learning from the wide support provided free of charge with masterclasses and seminars, such as Eric Gilston’s positive mental health course on Tuesday 18th October 2022.
Jenny Holloway CEO at FEL commented: “I have worked with Eric since 2008 when I first met him at a school in Croydon. I was so struck by his genuine aim to help others and it’s a delight that 14 years later we are still firm friends that have the same common goal. We want to prepare our learners for life in modern Britain, so they are responsible, caring, respectful citizens that understand the fundamentals of British Values that embrace diversity and are fully inclusive.”
