South African Business Group Learn From The Factory Floor

On 26th March Fashion-Enter and the FTA in Haringey had the pleasure of welcoming their very first South African cohort—an MBA group from Wits Business School, Johannesburg. Hosted by Caroline Ash the group participated in a seminar and factory tour to gain on-site learning on how the business operates.

Caroline said: “They were an incredibly enthusiastic and engaged group, bringing great energy from the start and asking a wide range of thoughtful, insightful questions throughout their visit.

“It was especially rewarding to see their reactions as they experienced a working factory firsthand. For many, this was a unique opportunity to observe our operations up close, and it clearly made an impact. They showed a genuine interest in how everything comes together in practice, beyond the theory they study in the classroom.

“The group was particularly impressed with our technology, and it sparked some great discussions around innovation, efficiency, and real-world application. Overall, it was a fantastic exchange—both inspiring for them and equally energising for us to share what we do.”

Feedback from the group was extremely positive and included:

“I have learnt about the different skills it takes to create a complete item, how scaling is made efficient by allocating work appropriately. Loved the AI fashion Style3D demonstration. Really loved the passion and energy of our speaker. Thank you for your time.”

“I learnt that AI has also taken over the fashion industry and that there is a need for fashion to be more sustainable. Very informative.”

“To keep ahead of the curve bar while simultaneously remaining true to your purpose (your why). Really interesting and well done! This is truly impressive.”

“I learnt more about AI in the fashion industry. Great visit will certainly come again!”
