Q What course are you currently enrolled on?
G: I am enrolled on the Perfect Patterns Level 1 course.
Q Tell us about the course, how long is it and the key topics it covers…
G: The course is about how to draft blocks and use them to create perfect patterns for clothing construction.
Q What were you doing before you started the course
G: I was dressmaking for clients.
Q Have you had to face many difficulties so far?
G: I realised that I needed to develop myself better and be current in pattern techniques within the industry.
Q And have you had any breakthrough, positive moments?
G: The experience so far has been interesting and exciting. It has exposed me to current methods presently used in the industry.
Q What’s your plan once you have completed the course?
G: I would like to continue to the next level and eventually launch my own fashion range on a global platform.
Q Best piece of advice you have been given so far?
G: CONFIDENCE and open to learning as the scope is very wide.
Q Would you recommend the FTA to others wanting to work in fashion?
G: I absolutely would!!! FTA is a gem.
Q Is there anyone in the fashion industry that you aspire to?
G: Many. Junya Watanabe, Ralph & Russo, Rick Owens, Delpozo and Stella McCartney.

G: I love exploring culinary tastes of the world, visiting museums, being passionate about reading, collect textiles from all over the world and keeping fit.
