London College of Fashion’s Global Fashion Retailing Students Gain Onsite Factory Insight

On 22nd April, the Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) team welcomed two groups of students from London College of Fashion’s (LCF) new Global Fashion Retailing department.

Led by FEL Director, Caroline Ash, the students were highly engaged, asking insightful questions and showing great enthusiasm for FEL’s operations and business model. The factory tour was a highlight, giving both groups a behind-the-scenes look at FEL’s innovative processes.

The students were particularly impressed by the Maeknit knitwear technology and AI-powered Style3D garment creation capabilities. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the FEL team were thrilled that this department is already planning to return next year.

Feedback from the LCF students included:

“I learnt about costing, system management, factory organisation and procedures. It was a great atmosphere with clear, straight forward communication, will come back here if we get the chance.”

“Very good experience. Learned a lot of background info from the factory’s perspective. Good speaker knowledge.”

“I learnt how a fashion factory allocates suppliers in different countries to minimise risks. Everything about the seminar was so awesome.”

“I found out about the future in a factory and how to adapt to current demands of the industry.”

“I learnt about the new knitting machines! It was interesting to see the process in-person.”
