Level 3 Creative Practice: Fashion and Business End-of-Year Exhibition

On Thursday, 5th June, the Year 1 students from the UAL Level 3 Creative Practice: Art, Design & Communication – Fashion and Business Pathway (16+) showcased their final collections at Capital City College Group’s Holloway Road campus. This exhibition marks the end of their 34-week intensive course.

The course is conducted over four days a week and spans two campuses, delivered in collaboration with Fashion-Enter Ltd and the Fashion Technology Academy. Expert tutors guide students through essential practical and commercial aspects of the fashion industry, covering topics such as garment construction, pattern cutting, and the business side of fashion. This educational approach equips students with the skills and insights needed for success in the industry.

Each student has developed a self-directed theme, which they have brought to life through thorough research and a diverse array of 2D, 3D, and 4D design methods. Throughout the course, learners engaged in various processes, including drawing, fashion illustration, surface design, constructing textiles, fabric manipulation, pattern experimentation, and mixed-media garment construction.

The 16+ learners will now progress to Year 2 in September at Capital City College.

Lan Leeder, Head of Education, commented: “Well done to all learners, they have successfully completed their 34-week course in collaboration with Fashion Enter. They have been a  joy to teach, and I wish them all the best for Year 2.”
