Join FTA CEO Jenny Holloway At Pure London This February

Pure London, from the 9th – 11thFebruary 2020, offers a curated line up of over 1,300 ready-to-wear collections across women’s, men’s and children’s fashion and over 150 suppliers and manufacturers within Pure Origin. A fashion trade show not-to-miss the daily schedule also includes catwalk shows, trend insights and industry talks from leading professionals.

The speaker line-up includes our very own CEO of the FTA and Fashion-Enter Ltd – Jenny Holloway (pictured right). At 1pm on the 9th February, she will be on the Pure ‘Origin’ stage to discuss the headline topic ‘Understanding garment making in the UK and shedding light on the ‘Fast Fashion is land-fill misconception’.

She will discuss how brands and factories can create sustainable, commercially successful clothes that are responsive to customer demand. She will explain about short lead times, small quantities, selling out at full price and how to work with UK factories to achieve this. Jenny will also cover how to avoid common pitfalls to create a longstanding relationship with your ideal factory and how to make the right choices that fit with your order numbers, ethos and budget.

The following day, 10th February at 15.45pm, Jenny will be back on the Origin Stage once again for a panel discussion entitled: ‘Things you wish you’d known about sourcing’. Joined by Alison Lowe, Creative Consultant, Henrietta Adams, Founder of Henri London and Marie Oakes Founders of The Trend Academy, the speakers will discuss the mistakes they had initially made and could have avoided. The panel will touch on: managing the challenges of language, sampling, quality, shipping and returns when working with factories and mills. Ethics and fraud as well as logistical factors inherent in working relationships that sometimes cross time zones and thousands of miles.
