Friday: 7:30am – 12:00pm

Role Purpose

To support the development of skills required to become a Sewing Machinist by learning how to construct, alter, and assemble textile products using industrial sewing machines.

The role involves ensuring fabric components are accurately stitched together in line with design and technical specifications. This contributes to the production of Evac+Chair International products and other company items, while developing quality, precision, and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Inspect stitching at the needle point to ensure quality
  • Follow quality standards when producing items
  • Work towards completing tasks within agreed production timeframes while maintaining quality standards
  • Follow all health and safety procedures when operating machinery and handling materials

  • Workshop Manager
  • All departments within the PTS factory

  • Training provider

Measurements & Deliverables

  • Maintain good timekeeping and attendance
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately
  • Produce work to required quality standards, specifications, and timeframes
  • Identify and stop any issues at the needle point
  • Report any machine faults or issues to the line supervisor promptly
