On Thursday 15th January 2026, Caroline Ash conducted a CPD session for Fashion Technology Academy tutors on Digital Fashion, AI and Robotics. It was an informative session covering key topics such as digital fashion, 3D printing, sewbots and AI use throughout the fashion production process.

Sanna Bux, tutor at FEL’s Fashion Hub in Leicester commented: “It was so interesting to see how everything in the fashion industry works, specifically with how digital fashion and robotics now help the process work smoother. Caroline was able to explain everything about the process in an interesting way, allowing it to be interactive, and giving us space to reflect on the development that the fashion world has gone through over the years. She was also able to give us insight into her background and experience throughout the session, which I, as a beginner in the fashion world, really appreciated. I was really interested in learning about 3D Knitwear and 3D Printing as I had never seen anything like it before, and am now interested in researching more about it. Caroline was also able to explain how “sewbots” (sewing robots) work, teaching us about how the machinery is and how they can help, whilst also not diminishing the harmful effects of AI and robots.”
Divya, Operational Manager at the Fashion Hub added: “Great course. I strongly recommend this to our learners too. This is what we need to educate our learners on sustainability and AI best practice.”
Louisa, tutor at FTA’s Islington and Haringey campuses said: “Caroline had given great detailed information which I found very useful. She spoke clearly and her presentation was well presented. Brilliant learning, thank you.”
