On 17th November George at ASDA employees returned for a further Factory Uncovered CPPD workshop.
The feedback was fantastic with all 10 participants marking the information provided and the speakers 10 out of 10. The aim of these workshops is to provide entry level employees with a unique insight into how an ethical factory operates so they can understand the suppliers point of view. The four-hour session hosted by Production Director Caroline and Senior Pattern Cutter Claire offers a wealth of expertise and knowledge into the complete garment production process, how an ethical factory operates, how long it takes to stitch a garment, how a garment is costed and much more!
“I have learnt new techniques and experienced a live factory. This was great and really enjoyed the session. Very informative.” Bryony, Buying Advocate
“I have learnt more about production techniques, 3D Optitex, Galaxius, Costings and from a supplier’s point of view. I cam e a few years ago and am amazed and realise how much has developed! Thank-you.” Louisa, Garment tech / product development specialist
“It was great to have more of an idea of time it takes for each garment, e.g., stitch time. I also learnt about welfare and ethical factory practice. Really informative morning, clear communication and interesting info. Great to see the factory floor! Thank you!” Heather, print designer
