Garment Technologist Apprentice With F&F At Tesco

You will be working closely with other technologist, designers, buying teams, sourcing teams and suppliers to improve all aspects of the development and quality of the product.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Technical Team with issues.
  • Providing Technical support to the design

& buying team at product development stage

  • Attending and Reviewing product fit against our specifications and competitors
  • Learning to asses Risks through fabric and trim management, being able to understand test reports ensuring all products are fit for purpose.
  • Supporting the wider Technical Team & gaining

experience from them and the wider business.
Skills, Experience and Behaviours

  • Experience with using a computer ideally Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to listen and follow instructions carefully
  • An interest in the Technical aspects of the fashion industry e.g. fit, construction, quality
  • A professional attitude to work and study, and a desire to learn and develop
  • Good, clear and effective verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work under their own initiative and then thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Good organisational skills
  • A passion for fashion, trend and fabrics

Job Title will be Apprentice Garment Technologist and you will report into a Garment Technical Manager

Your hours of working will be 9am – 5pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9am to 4.45pm (Fridays), based in the F&F building, 6 Trident Place, Mosquito Way, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9UL.

This role is available on the Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard for Garment /Sewn Product Technologist. This is an 18 – 24 month programme where you will spend one day a week training for the qualification at Fashion Technology Academy.
