On Tuesday, 14th May, Lousia Christodoulou, Fashion Technology Academy stitching teacher, completed her Mental Health First Aider adult two-day course at Minds in Haringey.
The course focuses on equipping individuals with the ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and ways to respond in a supportive and appropriate manner. In addition to providing an in-depth understanding of mental health and well-being, the course offers practical skills that will give the participants the confidence to step in, reassure, and support a person in distress.

Louisa said: “The mental health training was very valuable and educational. I learned how to identify signs and symptoms of mental health and understand the strategies available. I feel more confident dealing with mental health in general.”
