Working with the next generation of iconic design innovators, Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) fast tracks designers into businesses. Successes include Erdem, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou, Marques Almeida and Craig Green. Alongside mentoring, workshops and support the CFE regularly hosts a trade show to network manufacturers with fashion design business.
The latest CFE Trade Show took place on the 3rd April within the dramatic surroundings of LSO St Lukes in Old Street, London. Fashion Enter / FTA was one of the 20+ stands to promote their services from sampling and production to masterclasses, courses and apprenticeships. Lorna and Gee were on hand to introduce the company and answer any questions.
Attracting start-up brands and designers the big topic of the day was the question of whether to manufacture on home soil or overseas? However positives of being able to oversee the entire production process closer to home proved a much more attractive proposition to those new to the industry. The Fashion Enter / FTA stand did well attracting many enquiries with possible leads for the Fashion Studio, along with some requests for more information on apprenticeships.
Thanks to the CFE for a well organised and positive trade event that promotes UK manufacturing and services.
