On the 1st November a group students from the Fashion Retail Academy (FRA) paid a visit to the Fashion-Enter Ltd Haringey site for a Factory Uncovered tour and seminar.
The students are on the Level 4 Garment Technology diploma where a good understanding of the entire garment lifecycle is essential. Fashion-Enter Ltd, Director, Caroline Ash led the seminar and tour informing the students at each and every stage.
Caroline said: “We had a lovely group in today from the Fashion Retail Academy. They were all first-year garment techs and had only started in September, however they have already covered so much. They really enjoyed the seminar which was tailored to their course. They were very keen to learn which showed in all the questions they asked.”
Feedback from the group included:
“I learnt about new tech, Kornit was incredible to see and one-piece-flow. Also learnt about the critical path. This was a fantastic seminar, so informative, interesting and engaging.”
“I learnt so much about the industry and the element of a critical path and how everyone in the business interacts with each other. I found it so interesting and helpful.”
“The information about printing was extremely interesting and reassuring to learn that it’s the way forward.”
“This seminar offered a visual experience of fit comment making. Very useful information on costing, production and sampling. Different areas of construction, printing and future technologies. Very useful resource for students and real experience learning.”
