First Cohort of Level 3 Fashion Design & Business Students Celebrate with Launch Event

Our first cohort of Level 3 learners celebrated the culmination of their course with a launch event on Friday 8th March. Held at Fashion-Enter Ltd’s shop, the FC Designer Collective on Fonthill Road in North London, the launch celebrated the year-long course that combines business with creativity.

The Level 3 Diploma in Creative Practice: Fashion Design and Business is a 34-week course by City and Islington College (CANDI) and Fashion-Enter Ltd. The course is designed to equip students with essential technical and business skills to launch their start-up brand successfully.

Over the 1-year duration, students designed and created three t-shirts, alongside their creative projects, which were then uploaded and made available to buy on the The Creatives page of the Fonthill website: https://fonthillfashion.co.uk/thecreatives/.

The learners also developed a comprehensive ten-point marketing plan to launch physically and digitally and organised their brand launch event.

Lan Leeder, Head of Education at FEL said: The course has proven highly successful, and the learners have gained invaluable skills, knowledge, and experiences. Some students will continue their studies at university, while others have decided to start their own business. The event was a resounding success, with a great turnout from friends, family, and local shoppers impressed with the stunning outfits on display. The learners’ hard work and dedication were evident in every aspect of the event.

“We are confident that all the learners will go on to achieve great things in their chosen paths. It was a pleasure to teach them, and we are immensely proud of their achievements. With the skills and knowledge gained from this course, we have no doubt they will succeed in whatever they choose to do.”

FEL founder Jenny Holloway added: When we first started this course a year ago with CANDI / CCCG we were all excited! This is our first Level 3 course in 18-years that gives our learners true succession in new skills for their learning journey with our Fashion Technology Academy.

“Fortunately, we had existing Level 1 and 2 students that wanted to learn business combined with fashion – it’s a great course from UAL. The learners were brilliant – of course there were times when it was pressurised with deadlines looming but this is the reality of business.

“Congratulations to everyone that completed – the launch on Friday was excellent; a real celebration of a years’ hard work with the final end products on display in all their glory!”

Enrolment is currently underway for the second cohort to start this course from 22nd April 2024. This 1-year course is limited to 20 spaces, tap here to find out more and to apply.
