On November 5th, Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) and UKFT collaborated to promote the fashion and textiles industry to school leavers at the South London National Apprenticeship & Education Events held at Kia Oval.
This was the second event in which FEL participated, with the aim of showcasing the diverse career paths available in the fashion and textile sector. The event was specifically designed to help school leavers make informed decisions about their next steps, whether that involves pursuing an apprenticeship or going to university.
The event featured presentations, workshops, and various exhibitors to guide young leavers in their career choices. FEL’s Head of Education, Lan Leeder, was present to promote the courses and apprenticeships available at FEL and its educational division, Fashion Technology Academy, and demonstrated basic sewing and repair techniques.
She said: “This was a fantastic event organised by the National Apprenticeships and Education Event. There were plenty of experts available to advise the young leavers on their career paths, whether they are considering an apprenticeship, attending university, or acquiring new skills. There is something for everyone.”
