On 13th August, FCFTA Leicester proudly took part in the Leicester Careers Fair at The City Rooms, joining UKFT Futures and other industry leaders to highlight career and training opportunities in the fashion and textile sector.
Throughout the day, the FCFTA team engaged with students, teachers, and careers advisors to showcase its specialist training in stitching, pattern cutting, and Skills Bootcamps — all designed to meet real industry demand.
These courses equip learners with practical, job-ready skills that are highly sought-after by manufacturers and brands across the UK. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the next generation of talent and inspire future makers, designers, and technicians.
“There’s a real buzz around Leicester for skilled garment roles — and we’re here to help people take that first step into the industry,” said Jo from the FCFTA team.
