Fashion Technology Academy Receives Excellent External Assessor Results!

The Skills & Education Group have over one hundred years of collective experience to ensure high-quality services, support, and representation to the education and skills sector. The educational wing of Fashion-Enter, the Fashion Technology Academy, was recently assessed by the Group (August 2020) and we are pleased to announce that our educational team have done us proud.

The report stated:

‘A high quality standard of coursework across all the well designed Tailoring courses. Good use of different assessment methods. Well qualified teaching and assessing team. Exemplar IQA.

‘Learners responded well to the assessment tasks and have produced very good work. The IM process is exemplar.

‘In the current lockdown conditions the centre has made a remarkable effort to send the requested evidence and assessment for this remote moderation. Work for the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications was of a good standard and tasks set were appropriate for each level. The workbook for the Level 3 Certificate (Sample Technologist Pathway) was particularly good with clearly explained tasks and deadlines set against the required criteria. Evidence included observations, professional discussions, final product, photographs, workbooks and written questions. Formative feedback is evident with some resulting in work being resubmitted. This is reinforced by a very robust Internal Moderation procedure.’

The external assessor reviewed the FTA’s Tailoring, Apparel and Technologist courses and credit here goes to Julia Burrows and the FTA team for their unrelenting dedication to provide the very best tuition, even in these difficult pandemic times.
