Global Entrepreneurship Week aims to promote originality, creativity and ingenuity through local and global business support activities.
10 million people. 35,000 events. 170+ countries. Every November. One Week. Removing barriers and welcoming all.
Haringey has been playing an active part in Global Entrepreneurship Week with a series of events running between 18th to 22nd November 2019 in Tottenham and Wood Green.
In support of Haringey Global Entrepreneurship Week Fashion-Enter welcomed a group of local individuals interested in the courses, start-up business support and opportunities that we provide.
The group were invited for an inspirational workshop at Fashion Enter HQ on Wednesday 20th November that covered careers in fashion, courses and training as well as setting up your own fashion brand. This was followed by a factory tour led by our very own Production Director, Caroline Ash who gave insight into working in a UK factory, how to test fabrics at different stages of production, how to build and maintain relationships with manufacturers and the garment lifecycle. The session rounded off with a Q&A that centred on working with the local community and the support and services that we provide.
Caroline Ash said: “We had a good session with lots of questions, and I was very pleased to hear that a student from the session last year has gone on to create a successful brand as a result of our help and support.”
Norma, one of the attendees added: “I learnt how a garment is put together from start to finish and all about the courses that go on here. 10 out of 10.”
The ‘Make Your Fashion Design Collection Succeed!’ workshop with Fashion-Enter was a free Global Entrepreneurship Week initiative for local residents.
