Fashion SVP is a leading sourcing trade show that presents over 100 leading apparel producers from over 20 countries, alongside a daily agenda of seminars and workshops. The two-day event held at Olympia London took place on the 25th and 26th June 2019 and the Fashion Enter / FTA team were on hand with drop-in practical workshops and an interactive area that all visitors, whatever level of experience or expertise, could engage with.
The Fashion-Enter stand included a large interactive workspace with 3 functioning sewing machines, Vasilica Daineanu demonstrated how to pattern cut and sew a dress and explained to onlookers how the overlocking machine works. The Fashion Enter space was buzzing with young entrepreneurs and keen product developers wanting to know the first steps in starting production and how to source and manufacture their garments in the UK.
“Lots of information and really great advice from Fashion Enter, I’m ready to start planning my designs and will be in contact with the Fashion Studio ASAP,” – Ana Steele designer.
The event also held seminars on sustainability, sourcing and how to achieve success in an ever-evolving marketplace. There was also a panel discussion held by our own masterclass expert Della Nelson on the topic of ‘What is the Future of Sourcing?’
“Buy well, choose less, and make it last,” – Brigitte Stepputtis – Head of Creative at Vivienne Westwood.
Fashion SVP showcased a great mix of manufacturers offering a wide range of production capabilities and provided lots of choice for designers and brands. The team enjoyed demonstrating and talking to visitors about all the production and educational courses that we provide and we look forward to seeing them again at our HQ in North London.
