Excellent Assessment Report from the Matrix Standard – Approved for Another 3 Years!

The matrix Standard is an international standard for information, advice, and guidance (IAG) services, owned by the Department for Education to ensure high quality delivery of IAG. It is relevant to all sectors and is a means of demonstrating quality and making IAG better.

On the 20th February 2024, FEL’s, Fashion Technology Academy in London received a matrix Standard certificate following a thorough review from Assessor Kathy Leahy.

Valid for three years the certificate is an endorsement of the quality of training, information and support the FTA department provides. This includes ‘next step’ progression routes and support with ongoing education or careers within the industry.

The FTA’s strengths listed on the report included:

  • The introduction of up to date technology and techniques
  • Strong links with industry
  • Exceptional tutors with years of industry experience

FEL Founder, Jenny Holloway comments: The feedback from the report portrays how our FTA continues to be a centre of excellence in skills delivery.  The comments from the learners and our subcontractors also provides further evidence of our commitment to quality delivery.

“A huge thank-you to all of our tutors and support staff that work so hard to maintain our standards.

“In March 2024 we’re looking forward to opening our next FTA at Newtown in Wales with the NPCT Group of Colleges. This roll-out of our educational reach into the fashion industry will complete an important strategic long term goal of FEL; to become a national and internationally based academy in technical fashion skills delivery.

“Onwards and upwards.”
