To kick off the academic year, 6th October 2025, Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) was proud to welcome a group of students from Eckerd College, Florida, to its headquarters in Haringey, North London. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the students to gain firsthand insight into the garment production process within an ethical, transparent, and UK-based factory setting.
Led by FEL Director Caroline Ash, the educational tour and seminar focused on key topics shaping the future of the fashion industry from responsible manufacturing to circular economy practices and innovative technologies supporting sustainability in the supply chain.
“This visit was a huge success, with both parties exchanging valuable insights and engaging in thought-provoking discussions. It was a fantastic way to start the new academic year, setting the tone for a year of collaboration and knowledge sharing,” said Caroline.
During the tour, students explored the different stages of the garment lifecycle, including pattern cutting, stitching, quality control, and packing – all carried out in FEL’s Fast Forward-audited factory, which upholds high standards for worker rights, transparency, and fair pay.
They also had the chance to see how new technology is being used to reduce waste and support a more sustainable supply chain including digital pattern design, fabric optimisation tools, and systems for tracking production with minimal environmental impact.
Feedback from the students included:
“I learnt about ways to be sustainable regarding fashion. I loved the attitude and atmosphere of the place.”
“Learning about ERP was very interesting and I think that this is an amazing law that can change things. Seeing the AI and 3rd generation was fascinating.”
“Thank you for having us this was super interesting and eye opening.”
