We are excited to announce we are working with luxury fashion house Ralph & Russo to recruit and train nine apprentices to be based in their atelier.

The apprentices will be trained in the following specialised roles alongside the Level 3 apprenticeship programme at the Fashion Technology Academy –

Couturier Apprentice
Haute Couture Pattern Cutter Apprentice
RTW Garment Technologist Apprentice
RTW Pattern Cutter Apprentice

Ralph & Russo became the first British brand to be elected in almost 100 years by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture to show its collection on the official schedule at Paris Haute Couture Week. The Chambre Syndicale’s former president, Didier Grumbach was quoted as saying “We expect savoir faire, which is being lost, and they Ralph & Russo have it”.

In 2013, Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo were jointly listed at #39 on Fortune magazine’s 40 under 40. and in 2016 were awarded the “Outstanding Achievement Award” at the Walpole British Luxury AwardsTamara Ralph is one of only three female creative directors showing at Paris Haute Couture week and has featured in the Fortunes 40 under 40 list and the Business Of Fashion 500.

Ralph & Russo closed their SS16 couture show with one of the biggest wedding gowns in couture history: a dress with a train so long it required six atelier staff to turn it at the end of the runway. The gown had a total of 826 metres of tulle and 46 metres of organza, with millions of micro-beads, crystals, pearls, delicate shaped organza flowers and three-dimensional petals and leaves hand-embroidered onto the gown. The embroidery alone for the bridal gown took over 50 couturiers and 6,000 combined hours to create
