Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) places a strong emphasis on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure that staff members gain the latest skills and knowledge required to deliver an exceptional curriculum. The CPD sessions are practical and responsive, with regular scheduling that provides ongoing support and training for teachers and technicians.
Nivetha Thirumoorthy, the Production Coordinator at FEL, recently completed a two-day course (25th July 25) on pattern making as part of her CPD.
“I work as a Production Coordinator at Fashion-Enter Ltd Factory and recently took part in the Pattern Cutting course with the Fashion Technology Academy. It was such an informative experience, and I’ve learned a lot that I can now apply in my role. I’m looking forward to continuing to practise and build on these new skills.
A big thank you to Manuela for her patience and dedication. She answered all my questions with clarity and shared her methods with real passion. I’m really grateful for this opportunity!”
Earlier in the week, 23rd July, tutors at Fashion Technology Academy participated in a CPD online session led by Naeem Riaz from MAEKNIT.
During the session, Naeem explained the knitting process and provided an overview of the business. MAEKNIT addresses inefficiencies such as high minimum order quantities (MOQs) and lengthy lead times by offering a responsive, waste-free production process.
It was a very informative session, and the tutors gained insight into the various processes involved in the knitting process.
Feedback from one of the tutors included: “I learned about the process of producing knitted garments and the technologies used in the production. It was very convenient to have the session online. It would be very exciting to observe a knitted garment being made from start to finish.”
