Cardiff Metropolitan University Students Gain Firsthand Industry Insight at FEL

27th October 2025, Caroline Ash and the Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) team were delighted to welcome back students from Cardiff Metropolitan University for another inspiring Factory Uncovered Tour and Seminar. The session provided an in-depth look at the workings of FEL’s ethical, award-winning factory, focusing on themes of supply chain transparency, innovation, and sustainability.

The visiting group, made up of Fashion Buying and Brand Management students, benefited from the intimate setting, which allowed for open discussion and detailed exploration of how modern fashion manufacturing operates responsibly within the UK.

Caroline Ash led the session, guiding students through each stage of the factory process from design and sampling to production and quality control, highlighting FEL’s commitment to ethical practices and sustainable innovation. The tour also showcased how technology and AI are being integrated into production to enhance efficiency and traceability.

Student feedback reflected the depth of learning and engagement from the day:

“I have been able to see firsthand what a supply chain factory looks like, along with the different key elements involved e.g. workers, equipment. I learnt a lot of educational information that I will be able to take with me in my career. It was amazing.”

“I learnt about the fundamentals of the operation of the factory, sustainability insights and AI usage in the production process.”

“I learnt how important the supply chain is and how much work goes into making the clothes in the factory. I got a wider understanding and I found it interesting.”

“I gained more about what goes on behind the scenes in production by touring the factory. There were a lot of elements I never would have thought about I noticed.”

“I learnt a lot about the production of clothing by seeing it in real life. Very interesting.”

The session once again demonstrated Fashion-Enter Ltd’s dedication to educating the next generation of fashion professionals. By offering students the chance to see ethical manufacturing in action, FEL continues to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practice.
