On 14th December the Production team at AllSaints attended the Factory Uncovered CPPD workshop to learn how an ethical factory operates and learn about the latest garment manufacturing technologies.
During the four-hour workshop they were taken through the complete garment production process with Caroline Ash, Production Director. Caroline explained everything from what makes the factory fully compliant, what to look out when visiting factories, how long it takes to stitch a garment and the different machine operations, how a garment is costed, how do factories calculate standard minutes and much more!
The group were also introduced to the factory’s latest technologies and the micro factory concept with the Kornit digital printer and Zund master cutter.
If was a great workshop with excellent feedback!
