The Fashion-Enter ltd / FTA team are thrilled to announce that we have secured a retail outlet to showcase and sell designs by local, North London talent. Based in the London Borough of Islington the New Designer Collective, 113-115 Fonthill Road, N4, houses a unique selection of fashion, accessories and gifts created ethically by local design talent.
This retail opportunity is the result of a unique collaboration between Islington Council, Mayor of London (Good Growth Fund) and Fashion-Enter Ltd / FashionCapital. Contracts were signed this week (28th November 2019) and the team has worked extremely hard to get the shop ready and open for business.
This shop will allow local designers and creatives a professional place to sell. There are many fashion start-up programmes that provide free workshops and seminars but what new fashion labels often need the most is financial support, reliable production capabilities and direct consumer access via retail opportunities.
We are thrilled that we can now offer start-ups the chance for their items to be stocked and sold while offering the public products that are locally made and unique. A very big thank-you to Islington council for their foresight and determination, and also to Stephanie for all her hard and speedy work to get the shop stocked and ready. The unit also includes industrial machines, fabrics and haberdashery items for on-site making, customisation and alterations.
