Level 1 Award in Workers’ Rights

This course has been developed to raise awareness of the basic employment rights provided by UK law. You will gain an understanding of the job application process and how to spot if an advertisement is genuine or not. You will also gain the tools to understand whether yourself or a colleague, are being exploited and the process to report this exploitation. This qualification has been designed in conjunction with the Gangmasters Labour Abuse Authority.

What You Will Learn:

You will be given an overview to understand your rights in the workplace covering such areas as how to apply for jobs safely, the National Minimum Wage, holiday pay and reading payslips. You will also be taught how to identify the main signs of modern slavery and labour exploitation, and the ways you can report concerns to the GLAA and law enforcement.The Units:
