On 2nd July 2026, Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) welcomed members of the Boden team for a bespoke Continuing Professional and Personal Development (CPPD) seminar and factory tour at its Haringey manufacturing facility. Delivered by FEL Director Caroline Ash, the session was specifically tailored to provide practical insight into modern garment manufacturing, sourcing, product development and the latest technological innovations shaping the fashion industry.
Held twice a year as part of FEL’s ongoing partnership with Boden, the Factory Uncovered programme combines classroom-based learning with a live factory experience, enabling participants to connect theory with the realities of UK production.
Throughout the seminar, delegates explored the complete garment manufacturing journey, from product development and fabric selection through to production planning, quality assurance and final delivery. The session also examined the relationships between brands and suppliers, common manufacturing challenges, cost considerations, garment construction and how new technologies, including AI and Style3D, are transforming product development and improving efficiency.
A key feature of the day was the guided tour of FEL’s award-winning factory. By seeing each department in operation, attendees gained a valuable understanding of how every stage of the manufacturing process contributes to the quality of the finished garment. The tour also demonstrated the importance of collaboration across design, production, quality control and logistics, helping to bring the seminar content to life.
Speaking after the event, Caroline said: “We were delighted to welcome the Boden team today for one of their two annual visits. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our operations, share knowledge, and strengthen our partnership.
“The feedback from the team was extremely positive. They found the session both insightful and engaging, with many commenting that they were introduced to processes and information they had never previously been exposed to. It was great to see such enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day.
“The factory tour was a particular highlight, giving the team a first-hand look at how our products are made and bringing the discussions from the session to life. Overall, it was a successful visit, and we look forward to welcoming them back for their next annual session.”
The feedback from delegates reflected the value of combining technical presentations with an immersive factory experience, with many highlighting the opportunity to deepen their understanding of manufacturing processes and gain knowledge that can be directly applied within their own roles.

Feedback from the group included:
“I learnt a lot about workflows in an industrial setting and real-life examples of challenges, things that can go wrong and relationships between brands and suppliers. So much information and it was great. It was really interesting to learn about how the different departments influence the final garment. 10 out of 10!”
“I enjoyed the tour and the information given. It was nice that the factory tour was in the middle of the presentation.”
“I learnt how Style3D works and the benefits. More about construction and reducing cost. Very engaging and educational. Thank you so much!”
“I gained information about suppliers and factories, fabric knowledge e.g. shrinkage allowance and resting times. Interesting factory tour and amazing learning about AI.”
FEL’s CPPD seminars are designed to bridge the gap between product development and manufacturing by providing fashion professionals with practical, industry-led knowledge. By opening the factory floor and sharing expertise from across the business, the programme supports brands in making more informed sourcing, design and production decisions while strengthening collaboration across the supply chain.
The continued partnership with Boden demonstrates a shared commitment to professional development, innovation and a greater understanding of responsible, transparent garment manufacturing. Through initiatives such as Factory Uncovered, FEL and the FTA continues to equip industry professionals with the insight and practical experience needed to navigate an evolving fashion industry.
