On 17th June the FTA Fashion Hub in Leicester was invited to SIRM College Welcome Reception – Community Meet & Greet, in honour of our new Lord Mayor, Kulwinder Singh Johal.
Representing the FTA Fashion Hub was Operational Manager, Divya Kamath, she said:
“It was a pleasure to visit SIRM and be part of the Welcome Reception and Community Meet & Greet organised in honour of our new Lord Mayor, Kulwinder Singh Johal. We are grateful to SIRM for inviting us to be part of this special event.
“The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the courses offered by SIRM, their new incubation station, inspiring student success stories, and the innovative pathways they are creating to support growth and development.
“We were delighted to learn more about Lord Mayor Kulwinder Singh Johal’s background in fashion and textiles, as well as his vision for Leicester’s fashion industry. His ambition to see Leicester grow as a recognised fashion and design hub is truly inspiring. We look forward to welcoming him to the FTA Fashion Hub in the future.
“We were also incredibly proud to see the achievements and progression of our students, and how the guidance and support provided by our team has helped them continue their educational journey at SIRM. A special highlight of the day was our Level 1 learner, Michelle, who truly stood out. It was fantastic to see how she has applied the skills gained from the advanced course to develop her own brand, with her creative work proudly displayed at the event.
