October 2025: We are delighted to celebrate the achievement of FTA Leicester’s Puja Singh, who has successfully completed her TQUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training, marking an important milestone in her professional journey and recognising her as a fully qualified tutor.
Puja’s journey with the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) is a wonderful example of dedication, growth and perseverance. Before joining us, she built a successful career in the fashion industry, working as a designer and merchandiser. As family commitments and childcare responsibilities changed her circumstances, she sought more flexible, part-time opportunities while continuing to develop her skills and passion for the industry.
Puja began taking courses with FTA and quickly demonstrated exceptional talent and commitment. Following her training, we were pleased to support her progression by referring her to Design Crazy Lady, where she worked as a sample machinist and gained valuable industry experience.
Recognising her outstanding sewing and machine skills, we invited Puja to volunteer and provide tutoring support to our learners. Her enthusiasm, patience, and ability to connect with students soon made her an invaluable member of the team.
As the academy grew, Puja was offered a Technician role, where she continued to excel. Her dedication and natural teaching ability led to her progression into a teaching position, where she has made a significant impact on our learners’ success.
Over the past two years, Puja has supported more than 100 learners on our Basic Level 1 Sewing Course, helping them develop confidence, practical skills, and a passion for sewing. Her encouragement and expertise have played an important role in creating a positive learning experience for many students.
Achieving the TQUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a well-deserved recognition of Puja’s hard work and commitment to education. We are incredibly proud of her achievements and look forward to seeing her continue to inspire and support learners in her role as a qualified tutor.
