On Monday, 18th May 2026, Puja Singh, tutor at the FTA Fashion Hub in Leicester completed the Mental Health First Aider adult course.
The course focuses on equipping individuals with the ability to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and ways to respond in a supportive and appropriate manner. In addition to providing an in-depth understanding of mental health and well-being, the course offers practical skills that give participants the confidence to step in, reassure, and support a person when required.
Puja said: “I am now an official MHFA. I have done the course where I have been taught to use ALGEE, which is a vital five-step action plan, so they know exactly how to support someone in emotional or psychological distress.”
