On Wednesday 11th March, Lan Leeder, Head of Education at the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA), attended an Apprenticeship Fair at the Big Creative Academy.

Big Creative Academy (BCA) is a 16- to 19-year-old institution based in Walthamstow. The academy offers study programmes for students in the creative industries and sports. Currently, over 450 students are studying at BCA, with more than 150 apprentices completing apprenticeships in music, media, events, and marketing. Lan Leeder attended the apprenticeship event to promote the fashion industry and raise awareness of the fashion-related apprenticeships that the FTA / Fashion-Enter Ltd (FEL) offers.
Aims of the event:
- Promote FEL apprenticeship opportunities
- Showcase FEL services and career pathways
- Speak directly with young people preparing for their next steps
- Offer insight into the skills and qualities we look for in applicants
Lan Leeder said: “It was a pleasure speaking with the students, discussing our courses, and learning more about FEL, particularly the apprenticeship, as it could be their next step after completing their studies at the BCA.”
