This week, commencing 2nd March, Caroline Ash and the Fashion-Enter Ltd / FTA Haringey team welcomed two groups of first-year students from the London College of Fashion, Buying and Merchandising programme for their regular site visit.
Their current module focuses on the full product development lifecycle and principles of circularity, so Caroline prepared a highly informative seminar and tour that explored each stage in depth – from initial concept through to production, reuse, and end-of-life strategies. She also spent time explaining and examining emerging sustainable fabric options, discussing material innovation, and the challenges of integrating environmentally responsible textiles into commercial ranges.
Both groups came prepared with thoughtful and insightful questions, which led to lively conversations and made the seminars particularly engaging and enjoyable.

Feedback from the students included:
“I learnt how a garment is made from production to it being bought, also how pricing / cost is explained to buyers. Thank you for a great tour and explanation. I learnt a lot.”
