Students From Westminster Uni, Buckswood School and Kimbolton School Gain On-Site Factory Learning

Fashion-Enter Ltd, Production Director – Caroline Ash, completes another busy week of factory tours and seminars, here she talks about the student groups walking through FEL’s Haringey doors this past week…

“We kicked off the week (commencing 17th November) with Westminster University’s second instalment of their Fashion Manufacturing course. The intimate group size facilitated lively discussions and in-depth Q&A sessions, allowing us to thoroughly explore key topics. Our deep dive into costing covered essential areas such as SMV, production methods, and strategies for achieving target prices, providing valuable insights for the students.

“We were pleased to welcome Buckswood School’s Business students for another informative visit. The students were engaged and inquisitive, asking thoughtful questions and gaining valuable insights from our seminar. It was particularly rewarding to hear that students from our previous visit were able to apply the examples I shared with them in their final exams – a great testament to the impact of our collaboration.

Feedback from Buckswood students:

“It really connected terms I learned in my business lessons connected to actual business in the fashion industry.”

“I gained information on leadership, ethical and sustainable fashion and production types.”

“I have learnt about leadership, AI, quality, organisation, garment making. Thank you, well done!”

“The seminar was really nice.”

Caroline continued: “We wrapped up the week with another successful visit from Kimbolton School’s Business students. The session was lively, with both students and tutors asking thoughtful questions. The factory tour was a highlight, particularly the AI/3D system, which sparked some astute observations and insightful questions from the group.”

One Kimbolton student added: “I have learnt lots of geopolitical factors, production processes seen in real life. Thank you.”
