From Monday 27th to Wednesday 29th October 2025, six creative individuals gathered at FTA’s Haringey Campusfor a three-day corset making masterclass with acclaimed designer and tutor John Herrera. The course received an outstanding 10 out of 10 rating from participants, reflecting both the quality of the teaching and the inspiring atmosphere created by John throughout the workshop.
The course offered a unique opportunity to explore the intricate craft of corset making from taking precise body measurements to drafting, cutting, assembling, and finishing a perfectly fitted garment. Each participant was guided through every stage of the process, gaining a deeper understanding of both the technical and creative aspects of corsetry.
John Herrera, whose fashion credentials include showcases at London Fashion Week, Tokyo, and Paris Fashion Week, brought his wealth of experience and passion for design into the classroom.
