FCFTA Leicester Engages Community at Monthly Highfields Coffee Morning

FCFTA Leicester proudly took part in the monthly Highfields Coffee Morning, held at Wesley Hall Community Centre on the second Monday of July. Organised by Leicester and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, this monthly event serves as a hub for local residents to connect with organisations offering support in areas such as health, wellbeing, and skills development.

The event provided a valuable platform for FCFTA Leicester to raise awareness about our UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Skills Bootcamp-funded courses. Attending alongside one of our former learners, JK—who generously volunteered their time—we had the chance to speak with over 20 attendees about how our programmes support personal and professional growth.

We were pleased to share how our courses help learners improve their employability, gain valuable workplace skills, and boost their mental health and wellbeing. The response was positive, with several individuals expressing interest in joining upcoming cohorts.

In addition to engaging with the community, the event allowed us to network with other local service providers. These connections not only strengthen our support network but also enhance the information, advice, and guidance we offer learners at the end of their training.

We look forward to attending future Coffee Mornings and continuing to build strong links within the community.
