On May 23rd, Fashion-Enter Ltd tutor, and designer, John Herrera, showcased his designs across his current and archive collections at the “Creative Sustainability Where Fashion Meets Art” event held at The House of Lords in Westminster, London.
“Creative Sustainability Where Fashion Meets Art” was presented by Parkfleet Consultancy & Services Ltd, in collaboration with Marie Fairbank and Lanre Olagoke MBE, showcased four designers from different countries at this prestigious venue.
The event provided an amazing, behind-the-scenes opportunity for the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA) Level 3 students, as they assisted backstage, helping to dress the models, providing support to the designers, and, for those brave enough – modelling on the catwalk. This experience offered the students a fantastic opportunity to participate in a real fashion show in an exclusive London setting.
John’s collection thoroughly captivated the audience. At the end of the show, John and the Level 3 students joined the models on stage to receive enthusiastic applause and cheers from the crowd.
FTA Head of Education, Lan Leeder said: “Wow, John’s collection was breathtaking! The details on the dresses, the craftsmanship, and his designs are spectacular! This is also a wonderful opportunity for the students to take part in such a unique event, and one student even modelled on stage. Congratulations to John, and well done to the students involved!”
