International Women’s Day Event at Wesley Hall
FCFTA (Leicester) attended Wesley Hall on Thursday 10th March as part of the International Women’s Day event. Wesley Hall is a busy learning centre providing Early Years, Mental Health Services and local community activities. The day was a great celebration of Women – their diversity and strength in the local community. At this event Jackie shared with the community the courses available at FCFTA (Leicester) that are being funded by Community Renewal Fund.
“This event was so full of celebration – it was a pleasure to be able to share the courses we have available and to also make some great connections.” – Jackie
Careers Festival at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, Hinckley Campus
Jackie and Divya attended Hinkley Campus to share with them apprenticeship courses provided by FCFTA. It was a great opportunity for students at the Hinkley Campus to research into a range of careers, understand employability skills and learn about possible progression routes and career pathways.
Apprenticeships are a great choice for those that want to earn whilst they learn and follow a different route than a traditional degree or university route.
The apprenticeships we offer will provide the skills, knowledge and understanding to work in the fashion industry.
- Fashion Studio Assistant – Level 3 diploma
- Garment Maker – Level 3 diploma
- Product Technologist – Level 4 diploma
These apprenticeships are funded by Boohoo Group who have gifted £85,000 from its apprenticeship levy to provide these courses.
Students commented: “It’s good to know what options are available to me.”
“I didn’t know about the Fashion Technology Academy in Leicester.”
