Job title: Fashion Studio Apprentice
Reports to: Studio Assistant / Studio Manager
Role Purpose: Assisting the Fashion Studio team with admin tasks and the day-to-day running of the Fashion Studio based in Haringey, north London.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain industry experience working alongside a small team of cutters, machinists and QC to ensure efficiency and profitability. This full-time Fashion Studio (production pathway) position starts beginning January 2023. This is a fast paced and dynamic role where no two days are the same and you will be dealing with blue chip retailers as well as exciting new brands.
Role Objectives:
• Client Emails/Calls – Responding to all telephone calls, client emails, enquiries, sample orders, production orders and general questions in a timely manner. Maintain clear communication with clients at all times.
• Client Forms + Terms and Conditions – All clients must complete these before any work these forms must then be filled correctly.
• Booking in all fabrics and trims and storing them correctly in client’s boxes.
• Organise postage via Royal Mail or parcel force and ensure clients invoiced accordingly.
• Create barcodes for all jobs for pattern room and Fashion Studio using our Galaxius system.
• Maintaining an organised Studio – each client to have dedicated area and kept professional clean and tidy always. Ensure stockroom is kept tidy and every fabric is labelled. No fabrics to be left on the floor, we are not insured in the event of a flood if they are. Any loose threads must be put away in the cupboards, fabrics returned to stock room or clients boxes. Stock room and cupboards must be organised and tidy at all times.
• Assisting cutters with laying up fabric following cutters instructions and ask if unsure, accuracy is essential.
• Assisting QC with trimming and packing garments, ensure quality is always maintained.
• Assist with packing deliveries and ensuring they are labelled up correctly and in reception for the collection time. Couriers charge a waiting time so we must always be prompt. All collections must be booked out.
• Support with all marketing and create leads such as LinkedIn for potential new clients and attending events. Engaging on Social Media and LinkedIn and working with the Marketing team to create content for new posts.
• Supporting the B and Belles of London/FC Fabric studio team with fulfilling orders.
• Any other role deemed as reasonable by management.
