Irza

Irza

Irza is Fashion Enter's garment technology apprentice and works with our Fashion Studio manager!

From a young age Irza was always interested in fashion and actively pursued a career path in this creative industry by choosing subjects such as Art, Textiles, and Media for her GCSE's. She carried on Art through her A-levels after achieving A's in the subject. Her A-level studies also saw her studying philosophy and product design where she learnt many helpful and practical skills like different manufacturing process, hand and IT design skills on 3D sketch up and CAD. After completing her A-levels at sixth form she knew studying at university was not the best option for her to step into the fashion industry and so she became an apprenticeship at Fashion Enter working in the studio.

Izra’s current apprenticeship role sees her working as a garment technologist with Rosie in our design studio. Although she has not been an apprentice here for long, she is learning about the production of a garment, fabric styles, how to deal with clients and the admin process.

"I'm really enjoying my work here as everyone is so helpful and the environment is always up beat. I feel like I'm learning a lot and widening my skills set which is exactly what I expected from taking on an apprenticeship."

If you feel that an apprenticeship is the best route for you to take similar to Izra, we have a number of opportunities currently available.
