UCA Students Visit The Fashion Enter Factory
On Thursday 9th March first year Fashion Marketing and Management students from the University for the Creative Arts attended the Factory for an educational site visit.
It was a pleasure to welcome the attentive and intelligent group who clearly had a keen interest in British manufacturing. They commenced their visit with a company overview from Development Manager Jenni Sutton who explained all the different areas Fashion Enter operate in focusing on the three production capabilities from the Fashion Studio to the Couturier to the Factory for bulk production.
Production Manager Caroline Ash then took over and explained the processes involved from fabric delivery right through to finished garment. The tour of the Factory gave the group the opportunity to see each stage of the process first hand whilst they simultaneously reviewed the factory for reasons as to why we are an ethical and fully compliant manufacturer.
Following the tour comments included:
'I learnt about all the different machines and what to consider when making a garment and discussing pricing with buyers. very useful information and clear.' Lucy
'I have learnt the thorough process of creating a garment from initial idea to samplings and production. Really thorough information given, all questions answered with intricate knowledge and honesty.' Sophie
