On the 2nd November 2022, Fashion-Enter Ltd welcomed a group of employees from George at Asda. Many of the group were new to their roles at this supermarket clothing chain that produces, mens and womenswear, childrenswear, baby products and school uniforms. Fashion-Enter Ltd Director, Caroline Ash, gave a seminar that covered the entire garment life cycle along with a factory tour to demonstrate each step of the process.
Caroline said: “We had a group of fairly new starters from George at Asda today. The whole garment lifecycle and compliance was a real eye-opener for them. They gained a lot of information that will enable them to smoothly progress within their chosen field.”
Feedback from the group included:
“I learnt from this seminar about the production life cycle, how to source suppliers ethically and encourage best practice. The speaker was very knowledgeable and we had a good tour of each process.”
“I learnt a lot about the background of how products are made and how the costings work for different items. Very clear and understandable information.”
“Looked at how garments are made, the different stages of production as well as considerations when negotiating. It was a little confusing to find the place, but otherwise I really enjoyed / valued the visit.”
“I have learnt a lot thanks to this seminar. Everything was really interesting and useful.”
