Somali Community Centre And Jannaty Social Hub

Fashion Enter is in talks with Ruth Clarke, who is socially involved with a Somali Community Centre in the Finsbury Park area.

Ruth has kindly vowed to support us in promoting our technical skills courses at a network meeting scheduled this September, which will focus on training for the fashion industry.

This will hopefully generate more enquiries in autumn for the FTA, watch this space!

We also look forward to potentially liaising with Jannaty, a social hub which also runs a dress making project.  Alongside this, Jannaty provides training, courses, workshops, coffee mornings, MP surgery, counselling, family day trips. They assist their members to gain & develop appropriate skills that will help them realise their aspirations and dreams, as well highlighting the importance of their health and wellbeing.

The FTA opens their doors to all local providers and social interest groups that want to upskill their attendees. Haringey is undertaking a major transformation and Fashion Enter is proud to be part of the regeneration of Haringey Council.
