The second group of students, aged 16+, have just completed the 34-week Level 3 Diploma in Creative Practice: Fashion Design and Business course on May 17th 2024. This comprehensive program, a collaboration between City and Islington College (CANDI) and Fashion-Enter Ltd, is specifically crafted to provide students with the technical and business skills to launch their successful fashion brands.
Throughout the course, taught at FC Designer Workspace in Islington, students delved into the process of designing and creating their own unique garments, drawing inspiration from their chosen themes. Their impressive final pieces will be shown at an exclusive exhibition at CANDI in June, allowing them to present their creations and sketchbooks to the public. The students are set to progress to Year 2 at CANDI to advance their skills and knowledge in fashion design and business starting in September.
The students were engaged and enthusiastic throughout and feedback included:
“Coming here I was very nervous as it was a new environment but Lan, Elisa, Ana and Finn welcomed us with open arms. Fashion-Enter has given me so much skills and guidance and if I could stay for another year on my course I definitely would.”

The FC Designer Workspace is part of an Affordable Workspace program that has been specifically set up to create genuine learning opportunities that lead to finite skills so learners are job ready.
Working with CCCG (Capital City College Group) in Islington now means we can offer a range of qualifications from Level 1 to 5 and the age range is now 16 – 70!
Without this unique collaboration with Islington Council we would not be in a position to create this industry related skills course.
