Caroline provided in-depth information over the 3-hour session and covered the following key topics: External audits and how Fashion-Enter Ltd has gained Leading status and is a Centre of Excellence for Training, why being ethical matters, fabrics and fibres including the use of animals – silk worms for example, fabric and fashion waste, factory standards and audits – what to look for when visiting a factory, Optitex and garment fit, small runs and lean manufacturing.
Caroline supplied detailed need-to-know information essential for any fashion brand start-up or product development business that requires factory production. She provided examples of good and bad factory practices and made the participants aware of essential documentation. Throughout the session she gave ample opportunity for participants to jump in with any questions and comments.
