On October 6th the Fashion-Enter Ltd team welcomed a small group from the buying and garment tech departments of M&S.
Production Director, Caroline Ash, tailored the seminar and tour to cover key topics relevant to their jobs. She discussed costings, supplier and buyer relationships, pitfalls, timescales and each stage of the production process. Caroline also took them to the FashTech Innovation centre and talked to them about the growth of the micro factory and the importance of new technologies such as Kornit Digital printers and the Zund cutting machine.
Caroline commented: “I was very pleased to welcome M&S back for the factory tour and seminar today. There were 3 (2 buying assistants,1 garment tech) delegates so the it was very interactive and we got through a huge amount on content. They were able to see our Kornit ethical printing machine in action which they were fascinated by.”
All three attendees gave the seminar 10 out of 10 and feedback included:
“I gained a better understanding with the production line and costings. Fantastic course.”
“I found out more about costing of production and timescales, printing and machinery used in the production cycle.”
“I learnt in detail about garment manufacturing and all the processes involved. SOP for creating a good quality garment.”
