Q What time does your alarm go off?
K: 5:30am, my alarm is off during the weekend!
Q What’s a typical day like for you?
K: Usually my cat will wake me up early, meowing for food. Normally I would get myself ready for work, feed the cat and fish. I leave home at 6:11am to go to work. During the weekends, I will go for a run in the afternoon and chill really.
Q Tell us about your career route, where did it all start for you?
K: I came to the UK when I was 17 to do a degree in Media Studies. After 3-years studying at the University of Surrey, I realised I was more into graphic design. I went to do a postgraduate diploma in visual communication in London College of Communication in 2018 and started working here as a Junior Digital Designer in March this year.
Q And did you spend any time completing work placements / experience?
K: I spent 2-years in internships working as a social media coordinator both in the UK and Hong Kong. I also spent 6-months working as a graphic design intern for Elle magazine in Hong Kong.
Q What key skills / attributes would you say are essential for this role?
K: Creativity, attention to detail and teamwork
Q What is your most memorable work moment?
K: When I was studying in LCC, I had to complete a 3D animation from scratch in 3 weeks. When I started the project, I did not have much knowledge in 3D modelling and dynamics, so I guess it was an achievement to get it done.
Q What is the worst part of the job?
K: Tight deadlines.
Q Best piece of advice you have been given?
K: ‘Life is too short the world is wide.’
Q Is there anyone in the fashion sector that you think is inspirational?
